So many people are telling me time and time again how their dogs mobility is improving by incorporating turmeric into their diet.
Here are some simple suggestions to do so:
Simply sprinkle 1/4 -1/2 teaspoon onto their evening meal. I do this every night.
Or make ahead golden paste: 1/2 cup turmeric, 3/4 cup water, 1/3 cup organic coconut oil, pinch of black pepper. Mix together in a saucepan. Bring to the boil and then simmer for 5 minutes. Store in a covered glass jar, keeps for 1 month. This can be added to recipes and yes, for you too! Great on steamed new baby potatoes with a little chopped parsley 🙂
You can even add this to make banana golden paste doggy ice creams for the warmer weather:
Ingredients:
1 cup Greek yoghurt
1 banana
1 Tbsp golden paste
6 Upward Facing doggie treats – crushed (optional)
Method:
Mix the first 3 ingredients and blend with a stick blender
Crush the dog biscuits separately, sprinkle at the end or through banana mixture for crunch factor!
These ice treats can be made ahead and stored in the freezer for one of those hot days that are heading our way and are they going to be hot!
Or you can always buy a healthy pack of Upward Facing doggie treats from the PAWDinkum shop.
Enjoy and let me know what you think or what dog biscuit recipes you may like to see for your pups at what ever age or stage.
